Research Consultant - Consumer

£38,000 - £50,000 + bonus + benefits / London

The role

You will be responsible for the entire client relationship, providing consultative selling based on a strong understanding of industry, client business issues, strategy and information needs. Your role will be integral in managing strong client relations using fresh thinking and sharp analysis to build partnerships with them and keep them ahead of the game with expert strategic recommendations.

You will represent FreshMinds and promote products, services, and capabilities and have the ability to lead engaging presentations. Your strong leadership, collaboration and team-building abilities will ensure that client projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet the client’s expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop multiple consumer accounts and sell into these through expertise, consultancy and high quality delivery.
  • Work with the internal teams to ensure project delivery to brief, timescale and budget.
  • Develop, implement and deliver strategic research projects for existing clients.
  • Proposal writing - write complex, sophisticated and high value proposals that consistently succeed in generating business.
  • Ensure quality delivery at all parts of the engagement process.
  • Leading pitches when required
  • Manage and co-ordinate internal teams, where relevant, to deliver strategies and develop solutions

Who we're looking for

To be successful in this role you must have proven experience of working with and handling key Consumer accounts. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to grow and develop these existing client relationships.

Ideally a proven track record within the market research industry, specifically working with consumer accounts would advantageous. Excellent project management skills are a must.

Experience with all stages of the research project life-cycle, including project definition, management, proposals and pitching, marketing and territory planning.
Due to our client’s ongoing needs, you will ideally have considerable skill in using both qualitative and quantitative methods. It is also important that you have the flexibility and drive to learn new methodologies when necessary.
You will have business analysis experience either from agency/ consultant side and will have experience of directly dealing with blue-chip clients. Crucial to the role is the ability to understand and assimilate client needs, and provide innovative solutions beyond the brief.

You’ll demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration and team-building abilities.

We’re also looking for a mix of both logic and creativity in the thinking of our people. We want strong communicators and presenters who express themselves in a structured, but lateral way. You will have an eye for detail, as the smallest error could erode our credibility, and will be able to work to tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
