Christmas came early for the FreshMinds team last night, when we found out we’d won the Best Place to Work award at the Research Magazine Awards 2011.
I must admit that, when we saw how far that our table was from the stage, we thought all was lost. Obviously it wasn’t surprising at all to find ourselves nominated. Ahem.
To commemorate this hugely exciting achievement, I’ve been asked by the marketing team to pop this sentence into this post:
“FreshMinds is often recognised as a fantastic place to work, supported by best-in-class HR and Operations, and our special culture attracts talented people who also happen to be exceedingly nice to spend time with.”
Which is true, although I wouldn’t put it like that.
I would just point out that, as we drift towards Christmas, after another bumper year, and as the office slowly fills with Christmas decorations in the best-decorated-desk competition, and the secret Santa presents pile up under the tree, and the advent calendars disgorge their poorly formed chocolates, and the team nights out come and go, and we cross the Ts and dot the Is setting up fieldwork to begin next year - there’s a warm, fuzzy feeling in the air that this award seems to fit, perfectly.
